Thank you for your interest in the search process to identify the next president of Regis College.

On Monday June 9, President Antoinette M. Hays, PhD, RN, announced she will retire effective June 30, 2026 after having served Regis for 40 years, 15 years as president and 26 years as a faculty member, including nine years as dean, building its signature nursing program. During her presidency, Dr. Hays raised nearly $90 million for the university, launched two schools, an online program, and numerous academic programs. When she retires, the university will bestow upon her the honor of President Emerita.  

On the day President Hays announced her plan to retire, the university immediately launched a nationwide search for the 11th president in the nearly 100-year history of Regis. 

Presidential Search Process Information

  • Search Committee

    The Presidential Search Committee consists of sixteen (16) members to assist and advise the Trustees. 

    • Nine (9) Trustees, including the Chair of the Board as Search Committee Chair
    • One (1) Faculty representative from each of the four (4) schools  
    • Two (2) Staff representatives
    • Two (2) Student representatives, one (1) Undergraduate and one (1) Graduate
    • One (1) Alumni representative

    On Wednesday, June 11, students, faculty and staff were provided a link to nominate themselves or someone else to serve on the Search Committee. The nomination deadline was June 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. 

    The Trustees delegated to the Faculty Council, the Administrative Council, the Graduate Student Advisory Council via Graduate Student Affairs, the (Undergraduate) Student Government Association via Undergraduate Student Affairs, and the Alumni Board via Institutional Advancement the responsibility to nominate their respective representatives for final selection and appointment by the Trustees provided, however, that no nominee shall be a person who by reason of their position reports directly to the President.

  • Search Firm and Presidential Candidate Nominations

    The university invites individuals to nominate candidates for consideration of this important position at the Regis. 

    After an extensive review of national executive search firms, Isaacson, Miller has been selected to assist the search committee and the Board of Trustees in managing the search process to actively recruit a deep and diverse pool of candidates.  

    The Isaacson, Miller (IM) team partnering with Regis on the Presidential Search will be led by Kate Barry, a managing partner at the firm. She will be joined by Keith Mason, a managing associate, Kristen Andersen, a senior associate, and Kaitlin Cruz, a senior search coordinator.
